Valerius was in love with her. The thought still nagged in her mind. She was involved with Cain, she felt something for the vampire, that she knew. But she loved Valerius too.

She just didn't know what she was feeling anymore. She was so confused, but she knew things would work out in the end. At least she hoped they would.

On the rare occasion that Kai actually took a day off, she slept in until six in the evening, went shopping, went to a movie, and decided she was going to take part in her favorite past time.

She shifted to her panther form and raced the roof tops. While it didn't give her as much fun as hunting, she was able to feel free and unfettered as she raced across the roof of every building on the block.

Kai dragged Cain through the portal and into her room. As soon as the portal shut, her lips were once again on his.

If he had time to glance around he'd see that for an apartment, the place was in good condition and tastefully decorated. The main extravagance that Kai had insisted on was was the huge whirlpool tub.

But she wasn't concerned with the tub at the moment, all she wanted was him.
